Post Partum Midwifery Care

(from birth to 6 weeks)

Are you pregnant and have been told you are on a waitlist? Do you need help navigating pregnancy, miscarriage or abortion services?

Please reach out so I can connect you to the right services.

Many families have questions about lactation and feeding after baby is born. Having support with the mechanics and emotions of breast/chest feeding can help decrease pain, anxiety and infection and can help to clarify your feeding goals. Guidance around formula use and storage and weaning.

I can also help with prescriptions for pumps/formula for insurance, medication prescriptions for infections and milk supply.

Did you know that you can have an OB for your delivery and still request midwifery care in the post partum? Benefits include homevisits, feeding teaching and emotional support and birth control prescription.

I  can take 1-2 families per month for post partum care  depending on timing, need and situation.

Please contact me if you are needing a post partum care provider in Port Alberni or on the West Coast (after birth to six weeks post partum).

HOW TO GET IN TOUCH?

You can self refer (text/call me!) to set up a time, or you can ask your midwife, OB, NP or RN to refer you to me  by having them call or email me.
